Model-Based Development Engineer (Intern)

EVRaid is seeking a passionate and skilled Model-Based Development Engineer Intern to join our Application Software Development team. The intern will contribute to developing, testing, and integrating software features for E-Powertrain systems, with a strong focus on Battery Management Systems (BMS), Vehicle Control Units (VCU), Inverters, and DC-DC Converters  

Responsibilities

  • Support model-based development of application software for E-Powertrain systems using MATLAB/Simulink
  • Design and implement new control features and logic for BMS, VCU, Inverter, and DC-DC Converter 
  • Conduct software integration, simulation, and validation on both virtual and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments 
  • Assist in troubleshooting and debugging software issues at both module and system levels 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in systems engineering, hardware design, and testing

Must Have

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Very strong hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based design methodologies
  • Demonstrated practical experience through academic projects or internships involving similar tasks in electric vehicle systems
  • Very good understanding of electric vehicle components in depth, including their functionality, control strategies, and system interactions (BMS, VCU, Inverter, DC-DC)
  • Solid understanding of embedded software design for automotive applications

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, a structured approach to problem-solving, and effective communication
