Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Process Engineer to lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for key electric powertrain components, including battery packs, power electronics, and other critical subsystems. This role will be responsible for establishing scalable, efficient, and high-quality production methods, as well as defining and implementing testing and validation procedures to ensure readiness for market entry.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for battery pack assembly, electronic drive units, and related EV components
- Define standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flow diagrams, and work instructions
- Implement automation, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles
- Set up end-of-line testing protocols and validation methods for powertrain components
- Define performance, safety, and durability benchmarks
- Collaborate with R&D and QA teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
- Lead DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) reviews to ensure manufacturability of new designs
- Drive pilot production runs and transition to full-scale production
- Support supply chain and vendor qualification activities
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

Interface with product management and business teams to align technical efforts with go-to-market plans
Must Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the EV, automotive, or electronics manufacturing industry
- Proven experience in battery pack assembly, electronic components manufacturing, or EV powertrain development
- Strong knowledge of process validation, quality tools (FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma), and testing standards
- Familiarity with industry safety and compliance standards (ISO, IEC, UL, etc.)
- Excellent project management and communication skills

Hands-on experience with CAD tools, simulation software, and process control systems is a plus
